Michael D'Addio - CEO and Chairman Michael joined Q3D in 2008. He brings more than three decades of experience building successful companies. In 1979 he founded and served as the President, CEO and Chairman of Corvus Systems, which he subsequently took public in 1981. In 1986, Michael founded Videonics, a digital video equipment provider, which he took public in 1994. He was CEO and Chairman of Videonics from founding until its acquisition by Focus Enhancements in 2001. Following the acquisition, Michael became the President and CEO of Focus Enhancements, until he first flirted with retirement in 2002. Michael is a member of the National Council of Northeastern University. He holds an A.B. degree in mathematics from Northeastern University. John Archdeacon - Vice President of Product Marketing John is a co-founder of Quantum3D and currently spearheads the organization’s product marketing function. During his tenure with Q3D, Mr. Archdaecon has held a number of positions revolving around visual simulation and customer support. As the company’s Vice President of VSST Program Engineering, he marshaled Quantum3D’s successful delivery of the Company’s visual simulation solutions, which include IGs, software, synthetic environments and real-time 3D models. Mr. Archdeacon joined Quantum3D when his company, Gemini Technology Corporation, was acquired. Mr. Archdeacon has also served as a senior engineer at TRW, Inc. and Simulation Technology Corporation and was responsible for the development of simulated avionics display subsystems in various hot bench environments as well as development of out-the-window scene simulation using Evans & Sutherland and other COTS image generation technology. Mr. Archdeacon holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Wright State University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco. Brian Overy - Vice President of Sales Brian Overy joined Quantum3D in 2002 and has twenty-seven years’ worth of experience in the industry. With Q3D, he has done both software sales (with CG2) and hardware sales with Q3D’s image generators. Prior to joining Q3D, Brian worked at E&S (now Rockwell Collins) selling image generators. He has held positions with Barco (projector sales), the government of Taiwan (consultant on weapons systems trainers), NASA Ames (Advanced Helicopter Research), and McDonnell Douglas Training (now Boeing Training Systems). Brian holds a bachelors in electrical engineering from the Electronic Technology Institute. Alan Simmonds - Vice President of Engineering Alan Simmonds joined Quantum3D in July 1999 and brings 20 years of project leadership and management in the development of complex hardware architecture designs in the Visual Simulation and real-time visual computing, High Performance Computing, and Industrial Visual Computing industries. Prior to joining Quantum3D, Mr. Simmonds was a Principal Systems Engineer at Primary Image and a Research Officer at the University of Sussex. Mr. Simmonds’ areas of expertise include board and FPGA design, CPU architectures, SERDES, Switched Fabric Networks, graphics processors, digital video processing, PC system design, and rack infrastructures. He holds two US patents in computer graphics and FPGA electronics, and several pending US patents. Mr. Simmonds received a BSEE degree from the University of Sussex, UK in 1984. Kurt W. Webb, Vice President of Contracts and Administration Kurt W. Webb oversees the Legal, Contracts and Human Resources functions within Quantum3D and its subsidiary. He has over twenty-five years of legal experience in corporate matters, including federal and commercial acquisition regulations and policies, as well as export compliance issues. He is renowned for his expertise in these fields and has served as Adjunct professor at UCLA. Prior to joining Quantum3D, Mr. Webb has held various senior management positions at BAE Systems, Inc., FMC Corporation, and Rockwell International. Mr. Webb holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and M.A. in Education from Northern Kentucky University. Arthur Yan - Vice President of Operations Arthur C. Yan joined Quantum3D as Vice President of Operaitons in March 2004, bringing more than 25 years of global manufacturing, outsourcing, procurement and operations management experience. Prior to joining Quantum3D, Mr. Yan was Vice President of Operations at Digital Archway and Evans & Sutherland/AccelGraphics. Mr. Yan also held manufacturing engineering management level positions with Kubota Graphics Corp./Stardent/Ardent Computer, Amdahl, Flextronics and Rolm. Mr. Yan holds a BS Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Cogswell College of San Francisco. Michael Pavloff - President, CG2 Michael Pavloff joined Quantum3D in 2001 as Vice President of Business Development and now heads CG2, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quantum3D. Mr. Pavloff has more than fifteen years of experience in Business Development and strategic partnerships. At Quantum3D and CG2, Mr. Pavloff has led a number of customer initiatives that have led to the Company’s development of ExpeditionDI and Thermite Tactical Visual Computer. Prior to joining Quantum3D, Mr. Pavloff was Director of Business Development at CacheFlow, Inc., a leading Internet Infrastructure Appliance company. Prior to CacheFlow, Mr. Pavloff managed the Telecom Industry vertical market at SGI, focusing on the Internet and networking equipment sectors. Mr. Pavloff has participated in many high profile transactions, such as the SGI and ATT IDS joint venture, the SGI acquisition of Cray Research, and the Siemens and IBM OEM deals. Mr. Pavloff’s 30+ years of experience also includes 11 years with Silicon Graphics and 15 years with CDC. Mr. Pavloff holds a BSCS degree from Purdue University. Ted Archer - Director of Marketing Ted joined Q3D in 2008. He has nearly ten years’ experience leading marketing efforts. Prior to joining Q3D, Ted served as the Director of Marketing and led the successful rebranding and new product launch campaign for FUZE Media Systems. Previously, Ted served as the Director of Marketing for Los Gatos-based Coaxsys, an IPTV networking equipment provider that makes solutions for customer-premise voice, video, and data distribution. Ted has also held positions as Director of Marketing and Strategy for University of Dreams and as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. Ted completed his MBA at the University of Notre Dame in 2004 and also holds M.A. and B.A. degrees from Stanford University. Cristina Matthews - Director of Finance Ms. Matthews originally joined Quantum3D's sales organization but stepped into the role of Director of Finance in 2007. She leads the financial operations for the entire company, including that of the subsidiary. She brings over 15 years of financial management experience garnered internationally and at various startups within the United States. Ms. Matthews obtained her MBA at San Jose State University, California, and her Juris Doctorate at the University of Goias. | ||
